Sinossi/synopsis:
Un piccolo saggio audiovisivo sulla preparazione dei samosas, piatto tipico
indiano, girato e montato come le sequenze di boxe di Toro Scatenato di
Scorsese. Un tributo dice il regista a mia madre, che soffre di artrite
reumatica alle ginocchia e alle spalle: è una registrazione delle sua abilità
manuale, qualora sfortunatamente dovesse peggiorare.
An illustration of the making of samosas, inspired by the boxing sequences from
Scorseses Raging Bull. A tribute to the directors mother who has rheumatoid
arthritis in her knees and shoulders; this is a record of her hands in case they
become affected.

Nilesh Patel: nato nel 1967 e residente a Londra è un architetto con la passione
del cinema. Nel 1999 ha codiretto Stuffed, un corto in mini-DV di 4 minuti
trasmesso da Film Four. Il suo A Love Supreme, ci ha detto, ha già destato linteresse
di personaggi quali Michael Chapman (direttore della fotografia di Toro
Scatenato), Mira Nair (regista di Monsoon Wedding), Thelma Shoonmaker
(montatrice di Scorsese)
Nilesh Patel: born in 1967, architect. In 1999 he has co-directed Stuffed, a 4
minutes mini-DV drama broadcast by Film Four. His A Love Supreme has
already caught the attention of people such as Michael Chapman (director of
photography on Raging Bull), Mira Nair (director of Monsoon Wedding) and
Thelma Shoonmaker (Martin Scorseses film editor).
