| Local Perspectives Project |
Even in its new summer version, Corto in Bra is still committed to involving the young people from local schools who have long been the festival’s greatest fans. Instead of Corto in Bra’s well-established film mornings, this year the festival has decided to launch a new competition together with the Italia Nostra heritage association on the theme of the landscape, to help understand how young people perceive their surroundings and what kind of link they have with their local area.
The competition was promoted in local schools, with pupils asked to write a creative text on their vision of the landscape. The writers of the best texts have been offered the chance to participate, at no cost, in an internship during the festival during which they will make two documentaries about the local area.
Their work will be overseen by professionals who will teach them about the craft of filmmaking. The two resulting short documentary films on the theme of our local landscape will be screened during the festival’s final evening.
